Beach of Cavo

Cavo is the most famous beach on the eastern side of the Elba Island, it occupies the north tip of this side, about 20 km from Porto Azzurro.
The fine and brilliant sand of the beach is also enriched by small fragments of minerals, such as ocher, lemonite, hematite, from local mines. It extends for about 420 meters between the pier and the rocky cliff of Villa Tonietti.
The Beach of Cavo is very popular because it has all the services and amenities that ensure tourists relaxa and fun. Behind it there is a wonderful waterfront with palm trees and sculptures and, in addition to this, the homonymous village of Cavo. There are also bars, shops, restaurants.
Comfortably lying on the beach you can admire the islet of Palmaiola, just 3 km from the shore, and in the distance the city of Piombino. From the latter depart the ferries that reach directly Cavo landing in the local harbor at the center of the bay.
Cavo is perfect for families with children and in general for those who want to spend a day at the sea in a pleasant and relaxed way.
